I know few people who love gallery walls as much as I. When we moved into our new house last month I knew I wanted to incorporate a gallery wall in the family room. I just love how you can put all your favorite things all in one place and somehow make a feature wall. Gallery walls are a great way to add a focal point to a space without spending a ton.
Everything I used I’ve been collected over time. As I found an item I loved on sale, I would buy it and set it aside. Once I had what I needed to make the gallery wall, I laid everything out on the floor to get the placement of each thing correct. I arranged and rearranged until it looked good to me. One piece that I had to add to my gallery was this gorgeous canvas photo from CanvasPop. I have to say, I’m not one for canvas prints or at least I thought I wasn’t. As soon as my canvas arrived I was in love! The photo clarity is perfect and the quality of the canvas is fantastic.
The canvas’ come in all different sizes. My canvas is a 16″x24″ photo. It’s a photo that I simply uploaded from my computer to their website, so simple. I chose one of my favorite photos of Charlie from last summer. The vibrant colors that it adds to the wall is just perfect!

Gallery walls are one of those things that keeps evolving over time, you add, you take away. It’s part of the fun! I know I’ll eventually tweak a few things but for now, it’s complete. If you’ve been wanting to take the dive into making your own gallery wall just remember, take your time. Display only the things you love. Don’t force it. Nothing good ever comes from forced decorating. Not everything has to be matchy matchy. Frames can all be different and remember to add depth. Items that come out more from the wall add interest. Have fun with it.
