Now for the how-to for the PLAY sign that I incorporated in Charlie’s gallery wall a couple weeks ago.

You can find all the details in my previous post.

I wanted to just give you all an overview of how I made the sign. I started with a scrape 1×4 that I had. I cut two pieces to 18″ in length, sanded and stained it with a weathered gray stain.

I attached both pieces together with a metal bracket on both ends. I then added frame hardware to the top.

I purchased the wooden letters from Hobby Lobby and painted each one using acrylic paint. Once the paint has dried, lay your letters out and get the spacing you’d like. Then apply wood glue to the back of them and put them face down again.

After the glue has dried it’s ready to hang! You really can make your sign to say anything you’d like. This sign cost me less than $5. At that price, it’s a steal! Get creative šŸ™‚

I hope you all have a great weekend! I’m planning on doing a little antiquing in North GA with my better half. If you follow me on Instagram you know of the trying weekend I had last week. My dear friend and I went out on what we thought was going to be a great antiquing trip to AL. It quickly turned into a flat tire in the middle of no where and no antiques to be had! However, the memories are many and will last a life time. On the bright side, we managed to get the tire changed and replaced without any issues. We survived and we’re empowered at the same time! This weekend trip is bound to be better. I cant wait to share all the cools things I hope to find with you all! Enjoy the rest of your week without letting stress creep in folks šŸ˜‰
